Cloud Infrastructure Engineer -AWS Job Pundit Space

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Java, AWS, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK (Java SDK) and Terraform. You will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable AWS infrastructure, writing production-grade infrastructure code in Java and contributing reusable CDK constructs or Terraform modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AWS infrastructure as code using AWS CDK (Java SDK) or Terraform
- Develop reusable CDK constructs, Terraform modules, and Java-based tooling for provisioning infrastructure
- Automate deployment, configuration, and scaling workflows
- Manage AWS resources such as EC2, Lambda, VPC, RDS, IAM, DynamoDB, S3, Step Functions, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway
- Use CDK CLI (cdk synth, cdk deploy) or Terraform CLI to manage stack deployments and updates
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of infrastructure
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests with Java frameworks (e.g., JUnit, AssertJ)
- Apply Java quality tools (SpotBugs, Checkstyle, Google Java Format) for debugging and validation
- Troubleshoot and resolve CloudFormation or Terraform deployment issues
- Document infrastructure architecture, modules, and deployment processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with application needs
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with AWS services (at least 10 of: EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, VPC & networking, IAM, ECS/Fargate, S3)
- Solid experience with Java, writing modular and maintainable codebases
- Hands-on experience with AWS CDK (Java SDK) and/or Terraform
- Experience building and deploying IaC pipelines in production environments
- Familiarity with CloudFormation, Terraform state management, and CDK constructs
- Proficiency with Java build tools (Maven, Gradle)
- Strong testing skills with JUnit, Mockito, AssertJ
- Knowledge of CI/CD workflows, Git, and Java quality tools (SpotBugs, Checkstyle)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for infrastructure and deployment issues
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
