Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and speciality beverages.
• Handling customer interactions at various levels of customer touch points
• Consistently follows the set Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.Ps) during production
• Advice the Barista in charge on stock levels
• Maintains a clean, tidy and working counter at all times
• Assists the barista in charge in running the barista counter
• Doing the daily stock take of counter products at the end of the shift
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive customer experience
• Ensuring sufficient supply of products for sale in the counter by doing sufficient back up
• Ensuring all take-away and eat in orders are dispensed promptly according to the order docket
• Arranging the pastry case and ensuring that it is always clean
• Reconfirming of orders done on Vuka
• Controlling of wastages
• Ensuring there is enough change at all times
• Maintaining shift float money and ensuring no shortages
• Timely closure of counter variances
• Taking care of counter machines
• Ensure countable daily stock are done correctly
• Carry out any other task as may be instructed by superiors

KPIs

• Ensures that recipes and S.O.Ps are followed to the latter for production of beverages and standards for portion sizes are consistently maintained.
• Ensures that the S.O.Ps for counter cleanliness and hygiene are maintained and consistently adhered to.
• Ensures that the pastry display, merchandise display, takeaway station and condiment organizers are clean, appropriately stocked and positioned.
• Ensures that all crockery and cutlery are appropriately arranged for visual display and use the chilled glasses are sparkling clean.
• Maintain accurate record of stocks at the barista counter and more so at the station allocated and advice the barista in charge when it falls below the per level for refill or reordering.
• Must be well-versed in menu and product knowledge.

• Ability to think and make quick decisions under pressure, strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• In-house training in baristaring and service
• Excellent customer care technique and application
