Technician Jobs, Baker Hughes Jobs. AMO Technician performs maintenance, assembly, and testing of oilfield equipment and tools, requires a Technical Diploma and 2+ years of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.
The role is responsible for maintenance, assembly and manufacturing. You will provide specialist support in a variety of technical duties to support the maintenance and reliability initiatives of the organization. You will work on a range of Drilling & Evaluation down-hole tools and surface instrumentation within the limit of proven competence.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and mainteance practices.
- Assisting with activities to ensure repairs, scheduled and preventive maintenance on factory equipment are completed on-time and safely.
- Performing quality assurance activities required by manufacturing or engineering specifications and ISO requirements to ensure compliance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to provide technical guidance and troubleshooting knowledge.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have diploma or any relevant degree
- Have 3-4 years maintenance related experience in electro-mechanical drilling function
- Have previous experience with Baker Hughes (preferred)
- Display an advanced mechanical aptitude and experience with general hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Demonstrate the ability to identify problems and be able to develop solutions
