About the role

The Agent Welfare Lead for East and Southern Africa at Sun King will provide strategic guidance to the Agent Welfare Associates, ensuring alignment with HR and broader company goals. The role will ensure the collation and review of agent and field data to uncover root causes of issues and areas for improvement, as well as the preparation of monthly and quarterly dashboards for HR, sales, and business stakeholders. 
These insights will highlight incident prevalence and potential risks, while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure corrective action plans are developed and implemented across departments.

Strategic Guidance and Team Enablement

  • Provide strategic direction and people-focused guidance to Agent Welfare Associates, ensuring activities align with HR and overall company priorities.
  • Foster a team-based and enabling environment that encourages professional development and continuous improvement.

Data Collation and Insights

  • Oversee the collection and thorough review of agent and field data to identify root causes of issues and recurring areas of concern.
  • Develop and apply insight-led approaches to address identified issues, strengthening continuous improvement in agent welfare.

Dashboard Preparation and Reporting

  • Prepare clear monthly and quarterly dashboards for HR, sales, and business stakeholder teams.
  • Highlight key metrics, incident prevalence, risks, and trends to provide practical insights and guide informed actions.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, sales, operations, and other relevant functions, to ensure strong alignment on agent welfare initiatives.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of corrective action plans that enhance agent welfare across departments.

Incident Management and Risk Reduction

  • Monitor and report on incident prevalence and potential risks related to agent welfare, ensuring timely identification and follow-up.
  • Put in place proactive measures to reduce risk and strengthen the overall welfare and satisfaction of agents.

Policy and Procedure Development

  • Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of policies and procedures related to agent welfare, ensuring they are clear, current, and well communicated.
  • Ensure alignment with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements across all agent welfare activities.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in human resources management, with a strong focus on employee welfare, relations, and engagement.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience guiding or coordinating a team.
  • A professional certification or degree in HR Management.
  • Strong data interpretation and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
