Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
Provide strategic financial insights to senior management for decision-making.

Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Present management accounts and financial performance reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
- Monitor KPIs relevant to FMCG operations (margins, inventory turnover, distribution costs, etc.).
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Oversee annual budget preparation and departmental cost monitoring.
- Implement cost-control initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor production, logistics, and overhead costs in line with FMCG dynamics.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Optimize working capital (inventory, payables, receivables).
- Oversee credit control and debtor management processes.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax laws, statutory requirements, and accounting standards.
- Manage VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, and statutory filings.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Establish and enforce strong internal control systems.
Team Leadership & Department Coordination
- Supervise and mentor finance and accounts staff.
- Allocate responsibilities and ensure efficient departmental operations.
- Promote continuous professional development within the finance team.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and operations departments.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Oversee ERP/accounting system optimization.
- Improve financial processes and reporting automation.
- Ensure data integrity and proper documentation.
Key Requirement Skills And Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional qualification: CPA-K or ACCA (mandatory).
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the FMCG industry.
- At least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
