Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- a Bachelors degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration (Accounting or Finance option) or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya; and
- a pass in Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Note: Proficiency in accounting packages will be considered as an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities
- implementing accounting policies and procedures;
- compiling and posting financial transactions in accounting software;
- preparing payment vouchers and verifying supporting documents;
- filing financial records and maintaining accounting documentation;
- reconciling bank and cash balances;
- preparing statutory returns and payroll documentation;
- keeping safe custody of accountable documents and records; and
- supporting audits by retrieving and organizing required audit documents.
