Accountant at Amini
Accountant role at Amini, managing day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close, and financial reporting. Requires experience in a finance function with strong month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation skills, and proficiency in Excel. Full-time, on-site role.
We are growing our finance department as part of our continued expansion. You will be a part-qualified accountant with a hands-on, “can-do” approach and the ability to take ownership of financial matters from end to end. You will be comfortable working independently, resolving issues proactively and providing cross-functional and commercial support to the wider business.
Responsibilities:
- Own the day-to-day bookkeeping and posting of financial transactions, ensuring sales, purchases, expenses, payments and receipts are recorded accurately and on time in QuickBooks.
- Work closely with Admin and Operations teams to coordinate payment runs, obtain supporting documentation and ensure purchase approvals are completed in line with company processes.
- Lead the sales cycle, ensuring transactions are accurately and promptly recorded.
- Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, fixed asset depreciation and intercompany transactions.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including full balance sheet reconciliations and accurate P&L reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts on a timely basis.
- Produce monthly management reporting packs, including clear commentary on variances, margins and key operational KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and review costing to support accurate margin reporting.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and support accurate financial reporting.
- Support external audits, including preparation of schedules and responding to audit requests.

- Previous experience working within a finance function.
- Strong month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
- Experience supporting audits and responding to auditor requests.
- Good understanding of accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany accounting.
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A desire to develop within a fast-moving and growing business.
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience with UK GAAP and/or US GAAP would be beneficial
- Practical experience using QuickBooks Online
