Job Purpose
The Front Office Cashier will be responsible for handling financial transactions at the designated service points, ensuring accuracy in receipting, reconciliation, and reporting while providing courteous service to students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive payments for university services, fees, and other charges in accordance with approved financial procedures.
- Issue official receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Balance daily cash collections and prepare reconciliation reports.
- Maintain proper custody of cash and other payment instruments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial summaries as required.
- Address customer inquiries related to payments and provide clear information on payment procedures.
- Report discrepancies or irregularities promptly to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control systems.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial records and transaction details.
- Assist in audit processes by providing required documentation and reports.
