Supply Chain Management Officer II Job KMTC

Procurement Jobs, KMTC Jobs. Supply Chain Management Officer II handles procurement processes, inventory control, and supplier evaluations, requires a Supply Chain Management or Purchasing Degree and CIPS/KISM membership. Full-time role in Nairobi.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will

• involve undertaking market research, surveys and analyses;
• implementing procurement plans and processing purchase requisitions;
• participating in sourcing, supplier evaluation/rating, inviting offers, negotiations and contracting;
• drafting of procurement and disposal plans and budgets; drafting bid awards and tender advertisement notices;  drafting letters of notification after the tender evaluation;  
• preparing minutes for tender opening exercise and submit to tender evaluation committee;  
• identifying demand, planning and procurement of the items required by the user department;
• conducting inspection and verification of the items received by the relevant committee;
• verifying payment documents for goods, works and services delivered/rendered to the College by suppliers and other service providers; and
• updating contract details in government portals and College websites.

Requirements

For appointment to this level a candidate must have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Procurement and logistics or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution; 
•  Membership of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) and in good standing; and
• Proficiency in computer applications.
