  • As a Senior Talent Management Specialist, you will play a key role in providing hands-on support for people operations and employee relations in Kenya, ensuring consistent application of policies, processes, and employment practices.
  • You will work closely with the larger Global Talent Team and Finance Team to ensure fair and objective case management, provide operational HR support, and ensure compliance, while partnering closely with the Head of Talent for escalations and complex matters.

Employee Relations Management

Manage employee relations matters including:

  • Disciplinary cases
  • Investigations
  • Performance improvement plans
  • Behavioral and conduct issues
  • Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant handling of cases.

Manager Support

Provide guidance to managers on:

  • Employee relations processes
  • Performance management procedures
  • Policy interpretation
  • Handling employee concerns

Talent Lifecycle Coordination

Support operational aspects of the employee lifecycle including:

  • Onboarding coordination
  • Performance management processes
  • Offboarding procedures
  • Benefits administration support

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain proper documentation for HR cases
  • Ensure compliance with Kenya labor regulations and internal policies
  • Support audits and reporting requirements.

Culture & Engagement Initiatives

Support delivery of:

  • Employee recognition programs
  • Engagement initiatives
  • Local culture and team events
  • Global or regional talent initiatives

Must Have skills (required).

  • Employee Relations Expertise: Proven experience handling disciplinary cases, investigations, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and workplace grievances with fairness and consistency.
  • Knowledge of Kenyan Labour Law: Strong working knowledge of the Employment Act, 2007 and ability to apply it in real workplace scenarios.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, performance management, and policy interpretation.
  • Investigation & Analytical Skills: Skilled in gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and preparing clear, well-structured reports.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to handle sensitive and high-stakes conversations professionally.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in documentation, record-keeping, and compliance tracking.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.

Academic and Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field required
  • CHRP(K) certification
  • 5–8+ years in HR, with at least 3 years focused on Employee Relations or HR Operations
