Senior ICT Assistant Job CUE

Duties and responsibilities will entail assisting in: –  

  • Installing, updating and optimizing network systems;  
  • Monitoring Servers, Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and WI-FI to ensure coverage;  
  • Coordinating with design, implementation and support of new software and features; 
  • Attending to ICT related issues, hardware maintenance, software and networking;  
  • Initiating procurement requisitions from the stores for CUE ICT department;  
  • Providing helpdesk and technical support either by phone, remote access or site visit;  
  • Setting up of equipment for new users and employees and on boarding them on their usages;  
  • Coordinating repair and maintains ICT equipment, and associated peripherals;  
  • Ensuring system optimization for all technology resources;  
  • Performing data backups to ensure all Commission data and systems are secure; and 
  • Implementing, installing and maintaining Commission’s communication and telephone systems.     

Persons Specification  
For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:  

  • Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science / Information Systems from an institution recognized in Kenya with four (4) years relevant work experience; 
  • Professional Qualifications  and Membership to professional bodies; 
  • Relevant ICT certification from recognized certification bodies; 
  • Proficiency in computer applications; and  
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

The Successful candidates will be required to provide the following documents before the award of offer in compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010:

  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). 
  • Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB). 
  • Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
