Our client is a leading distributor of chemicals across emerging markets and actively trades several other commodities like steel, polymers, and many more. They are looking to hire a detail-oriented and execution-focused Sales Support Executive to support day-to-day sales, sourcing, and supply chain coordination activities. This role is ideal for a professional with a foundational understanding of commodity markets, pricing, and logistics who is comfortable working with data, documentation, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily sales and sourcing operations to ensure smooth commercial execution
- Assist in understanding and tracking commodity demand and supply dynamics
- Prepare and support costing calculations, including import/export and landed cost analysis
- Provide support in compliance and regulatory processes (e.g., KEBS requirements)
- Handle sales documentation such as Proforma Invoices (PFIs), export documentation, and sample coordination
- Work with data and numbers to support commercial decision-making and reporting
- Coordinate with internal teams across sales, logistics, and supply chain functions
Requirements
- Degree in Business, finance, or Supply Chain Management
- Approximately 2–4 years of relevant experience in commercial operations, supply chain, or trading support
- Strong operational and execution-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working with numbers, costing structures, and documentation
- Basic understanding of supply chain processes and pricing concepts
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to support multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to commodity trading, import/export operations, or logistics is an advantage
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance processes (e.g., KEBS) is a plus
- Analytical mindset with willingness to learn and develop further within the role
