Responsible for receiving, sorting, classifying, filing, and retrieving official documents, maintaining accurate records and filing systems, managing the storage and movement of files, ensuring the security and confidentiality of information, supporting records digitisation, tracking document circulation, and ensuring compliance with records management policies and procedures. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Records Management, Information Science, Library Studies, or a related field from a recognized institution. The position is based in Nakuru and requires on-site work.

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science/ Records Management from a recognized institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Security of files and documents;
• Renewing file covers;
• Ensuring proper handling of documents;
• Pending correspondence and bring-ups;
• Receiving and dispatching letters and maintaining related registers;and
• Preparing disposal schedules and disposing dead files in accordance with relevant Government regulations.
