Systems Software Analyst Job Farmer’s Choice
IT Jobs, Farmer’s Choice Jobs. Systems Software Analyst analyzes system requirements, designs software applications, maintains ERP systems, and provides technical support, requires a CS or Software Engineering Degree and 1-2 years experience.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements, process flows and functional specifications.
- Validate requirements and translate approved needs into clear work items and acceptance criteria.
- Perform limited functional data analysis, mapping, validation and documentation.
- Support ERP and business system implementations, configuration, UAT and go-live activities.
- Coordinate testing, defect tracking, release support and user documentation.
- Monitor system health, support improvements and assist with business continuity testing.
- Manage helpdesk support and provide first- and second-line application support.
- Support software installation, upgrades, version control and licence records.
- Drive rollout and adoption of ERP and Microsoft 365 tools through user support and training.
- Support security controls, user access management and audit follow-up.
Qualifications
Key Competencies
- Strong requirements gathering, business writing and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP/business applications and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Basic SQL knowledge for querying and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and disciplined documentation.
- Sound judgement on security, access control and confidentiality.
- Ability to manage priorities, meet service levels and work independently.
- Professional teamwork, problem solving and continuous learning mindset.
- Bachelor’s Degree with relevant professional certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in application support, systems analysis or ERP end-user support.
- Exposure to ERP environments, user acceptance testing and helpdesk operations is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools; basic SQL for querying and reporting is desirable.
