Job Purpose
First impressions are everything! As a Receptionist/Cashier at Acacia Premier Hotel, you will play a key role in creating lasting memories for every guest by providing exceptional service and ensuring maximum satisfaction. You will serve as the face of the hotel, upholding its image and delivering a warm, professional, and engaging guest experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests courteously upon arrival, consistently offering professional and friendly service.
- Receive, validate, and post payments for guest accounts, including deposits and outstanding balances, made in person or through designated collectors.
- Assign rooms for arriving guests, verify and post charge checks and vouchers from different outlets to the appropriate ledgers.
- Inform guests of their room numbers and applicable rates and ensure all billing documents are accurately arranged for night audit balancing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date room status information at all times.
- Count and verify cash received, issue appropriate receipts, and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints efficiently and courteously, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Manage guest keys and safety deposit box transactions securely and professionally.
- Prepare and balance daily cash reports with the assigned float at the end of each shift.
- Prepare remittance envelopes containing daily cash receipts and deposit them in the cashier’s drop box in accordance with hotel policy.
- Ensure all required information is accurately captured on guest registration cards and that cash float is maintained safely and correctly.
- Record daily activities in the logbook and communicate guest feedback—positive or negative—to the supervisor promptly.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or Front Office Operations from a recognized institution.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications and hotel management systems (Fidelio and Opera preferred).
