Job Summary

Our client is a leading prestigious, innovative, and rapidly growing real estate company based in Nairobi, Kenya. They are seeking to hire an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, valuations, budgeting, and contract administration for an ongoing site project in Mombasa.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and project budgets.
• Monitor project costs and ensure financial efficiency.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and valuations.
• Prepare interim payment certificates and final accounts.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and payment applications.
• Manage variations, claims, and contract documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and financial procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and project management teams.
• Prepare regular cost reports and financial updates.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Core Competencies

• Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, or large-scale real estate development projects.
• Candidates based in Mombasa are highly preferred.
• Strong professional ethics and ability to work in multicultural project environments.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and demanding site conditions.
