Key Responsibilities
- Competencies/Abilities/Skills Required
- Very good knowledge of nursing, medical care and counseling standards and procedures
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; both English and Kiswahili
- Demonstrate evidence-based knowledge of the current practices in general nursing in an outpatient setup
- Experience working in a youth-friendly health facility will be an added advantage.
- Ability to multi-task in any given situation.
- Must be compassionate, possess integrity and respect values.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and report accurately.
- Self-driven individual who is diligent, honest, disciplined and responsible
- Must be pleasant, with a heart to serve, and possess genuine love for community.
- Ability to offer quality services at all times to all patients and an individual with a passion for the wellbeing of patients.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer literacy/ knowledge
- Ability to work long hours sometimes committing to late evening, emergency calls at night and working over weekends.
Required Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Diploma in Kenya Registered
- Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized Institution (KRCHN)
- Registered and with a valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- At least one year of internship clinical working experience
- Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
