Medical Specialist I (General Surgeon) Job Nyamira CPSB

Medical Jobs, Nyamira County Public Service Board Jobs. Responsible for providing specialised surgical care, assessing and diagnosing patients, performing surgical procedures, managing post-operative care, handling emergencies, and supporting clinical teams. Requires an MBChB degree, Master’s degree in General Surgery, professional registration, a valid practising licence, and relevant experience. The position is based in Nyamira and requires on-site work.

Qualifications

• Be a Kenyan citizen
• A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a university recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists council.
• A Master of medicine in General surgery from a university recognized by Kenya medical practitioners and dentists Council.
• A Registration Certificate by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
• A Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
• Specialist Recognition Certificate from Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists council
• Shown outstanding professional competence and administrative capacity and initiative in the general organization and management of the patients in the area of specialization.
• Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution

Key Responsibilities

• Performing operations for appendicitis, bowel obstructions, and acid reflux.
• Fixing abdominal, groin, and hiatal hernias.
• Performing biopsies, lumpectomies, and mastectomies.
• Utilizing laparoscopy or robotic-assisted technology to reduce recovery times and post-operative pain.
• Removing skin cancers, cysts, and other lumps.
• Leading hospital surgical teams to treat trauma and acute conditions
• Training, supervising and mentoring medical officers (intern) and other students.
