  • Product Promotion and Detailing: Actively promote and detail assigned pharmaceutical and healthcare products to healthcare professionals, delivering accurate, ethical and persuasive communication on product benefits, usage and therapeutic value.
  • Territory Coverage and Planning: Develop and implement an effective call plan to ensure regular visits to hospitals, clinics and pharmacies, maximizing coverage and time efficiency to achieve sales and promotional targets.
  • Market Development and Intelligence: Identify new business opportunities, gather market insights and monitor competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and drive market growth.
  • Training and Presentations: Organize and deliver medical education sessions, product presentations and group meetings for healthcare professionals to enhance awareness and understanding of the company’s product portfolio.
  • Compliance and Ethical Standards: Ensure all promotional activities comply with Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) guidelines, company policies and the ethical standards governing pharmaceutical marketing in Kenya.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit timely reports on field activities, customer feedback and territory performance to enable data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain and Regulatory teams to ensure product availability, support brand campaigns and deliver seamless customer experience.
  • Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, or any health-related field from a recognized institution. A background in sales or marketing is an added advantage.
  • Valid and current Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical promotion, or healthcare marketing, preferably with reputable pharmaceutical or healthcare companies in Kenya.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, strong presentation abilities and interpersonal skills to engage healthcare professionals and ethically influence prescribing behavior.
  • Proven ability to achieve targets, manage customer accounts and negotiate effectively while maintaining professionalism and compliance.
  • Proficiency in preparing field reports, analyzing sales data and using CRM or digital tools for performance tracking and activity planning.
  • Self-driven, well-organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must demonstrate integrity, resilience and a customer-focused approach.
