Looking for an HR Job in Kenya? Apex Steel Limited is seeking to recruit a highly organized and results-driven HR Officer – Talent Acquisition & Management to join their HR Department based in Nairobi.

Job Summary

To manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes and design, coordinate, and deliver training and development programs that attract, develop, and retain top talent to support  business growth and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Selection: Manage full-cycle recruitment and selection to ensure timely hiring of quality candidates.
  • Manpower Planning: Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and ensure optimal workforce planning.
  • Talent Sourcing: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies using multiple channels to attract top talent.
  • Candidate Management: Screen, interview, assess, and present candidates using competency-based techniques.
  • Onboarding & Orientation: Coordinate smooth onboarding and orientation to enhance new hire experience and retention.
  • Training Needs Assessment: Identify training needs and develop annual training plans aligned to business objectives.
  • Training Delivery & Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external training programs and learning initiatives.
  • Learning & Development: Implement emplovee development, mentoring, and capacity building programs.
  • Training Evaluation: Evaluate training effectiveness and provide reports with recommendations for improvement.
  • HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate HR records, ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular recruitment and training reports, metrics, and dashboards for management.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (HRM,  Business Administration, Psychology, or related discipline).
  • 2+ years’ experience in recruitment and training (experience in both areas is a must).
  • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment and managing training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws,
    HR practices, and training methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and
    HRIS/ATS systems.
  • Confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
