F&B Manager Job Sarova Hotels Nairobi, Kenya

Sarova Woodlands Hotel is looking for a dynamic, experienced and commercially driven Food and Beverage Manager to lead the Food & Beverage operations of the hotel.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s food and beverage operations, providing leadership and strategic planning to achieve guest satisfaction.

This role requires strategic leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for food and service operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking charge of all restaurants, banquets, and bars.
• Inspire, lead and oversee all the F&B outlets, ensuring success in achieving budgeted targets, guest service and food quality as per set brand standards.
• Contribute to the goals and objectives of the department by developing an engaged team.
• Manage and control all available resources to create unforgettable guest experiences.
• Ensure quality of food is always maintained.
• Participate and reinforce importance of team member recognition programs and working incentives.
• Regular performance appraisals for all F&B service staff in outlets.
• Ensure staffing levels in all F&B outlets are met as per the agreed establishment.
• Ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all areas as per HACCP.
• Responsible for creating, coordinating, and implementing the training of staff throughout the department.
• Marketing and promotion of Food and Beverage products in liaison with the Sales and Marketing Team.
• Consistently demonstrates teamwork and favorable working relationships with team members and fellow managers.
• Responsible for the department’s P&L and aligns with revenue and cost management that is beneficial to the business and department.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in F&B Operations, (preferably in a luxury hotel) with a managerial/Senior Leadership experience of not less than 5 years.
• Highly conversant with HACCP regulations as well as safety policies.
• Should be conversant with advanced principles of food and beverage management, revenue management and cost control.
• Exceptionally service oriented with strong financial acumen.
• Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and strong networking skills.
• Strong passionate for food and beverage.
• Knowledge of current F&B trends.
• Experience in new product development, design, set-up and launch will be an added advantage.
• Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture, and set an environment for high performance.
