Driver Jobs. KMTC Jobs. Driver III driving official vehicles, maintaining logbooks, ensuring safety, and conducting basic checks, requiring KCSE, BCE license, Driver Test III, First Aid, and 2+ years experience.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve driving vehicles as authorized; Keeping up to date work tickets for vehicles assigned to; Cleaning of the assigned motor vehicle; Maintaining a proper mechanical working condition of the vehicle; Ensuring security and safety of passengers and vehicle on and off the road; Adhering to or observing of traffic laws; Reporting any incidents to police and/or the office immediately they occur;  Detect common mechanical faults.

Qualifications

For appointment to this level, a candidate must have: – 

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) for Drivers or its equivalent qualifications from a recognised and accredited institution; 
• A valid driving license category D3 free from any current endorsements; 
•  Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognised and accredited institution; 
• Certificate in Suitability Test for Drivers conducted by the Ministry responsible for transport; 
• A valid Clearance Certificate from the National Police Service;
• At least two (2) years driving experience; and
•  Proficiency in computer applications.
