Job Requirements
- Minimum relevant working experience of four (4) years from a recognised organisation;
- Diploma in Building Construction Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
- Construction Technician Part III or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
- Trade craft skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Assisting the Building Maintenance Officer in:
- Implementation of civil works;
- Carrying out inspection of premises and grounds for defects;
- Preparing and implementing building maintenance plans;
- Maintaining and repairing Commission’s assets;
- Developing specification and undertaking market surveys for requisite materials for use in minor repairs and maintenance of facilities and/ or furniture and equipment;
- Supervising outsourced repairs and maintenance of building works;
- Preparing regular reports on services rendered to the Commission;
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment;
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them;
- Routine checking of control panels of electro-mechanical installations and rectifying any noted faults.
