Job Description
- We are looking for a Business Development Officer who will play a key role in expanding the general insurance portfolio hence driving the growth and success of the company.
- The incumbent will be responsible for acquiring profitable new business through Agents and implementing strategies to help achieve the company’s sales and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquisition of new agents’ relationships.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the company
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other departments to develop and implement business development strategies
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients
- Achieve or exceed sales and revenue targets per Month
- Increasing client base
- Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
- Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
- Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
- Researching business opportunities and viable income
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Marketing and any other Business related field.
- Significant progress in professional papers. i.e. (Diploma in Insurance, CIM etc.)
- At least 4 years of experience in Business Development specifically General Business, sales, or a related field.
- Experience dealing with Agents.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience managing budgets and reviewing financial statements
