Assessor II (Functional Assessment – Audiology) Job KISE
Teaching obs, Kenya Institute of Special Education Jobs. Assessor II (Functional Assessment – Audiology) conducts hearing evaluations and recommends interventions, requires an Audiology/Speech Therapy Degree a (2) years’ experience working in Functional Assessment.
Responsibilities
- Assess children with special needs and disabilities;
- Refer children assessed to other service providers;
- Place children assessed in educational programmes;
- Provide data on assessment;
- Train assessment staff in functional assessment;
- Identify children with special needs and disabilities and recommend for placement in schools and institutions;
- Create awareness, sensitize and capacity-build teachers, parents and other stakeholders dealing with children with special needs and disabilities
- Participate community outreach service to awareness on disabilities
Qualifications / Work Experience
- Professional Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing
- Academic Bachelor’s Degree in Education in the area of Special Needs or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
- Professional Two (2) years’ experience working in Functional Assessment
