Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, financial planning, tax planning and budgeting. Our firm services hundreds of small business owners and high net worth individuals across multiple advisory offering including Tax Planning, Tax Implementation, and Chief Financial Officer services. Unlike most tax firms focused on compliance, the company helps clients proactively implement strategies that save them money on taxes and help build a stronger financial future.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of tax compliance and planning for the company
- Manage and review individual and business tax returns (1065, 1120-S, 1120, 1041), tax provisions, and tax accounting
- Develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws
- Conduct research on tax issues and stay up-to-date on changes in tax regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide tax advice and support on various projects
- Assist in financial planning, estate planning, and budgeting activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a huge plus but no required if experience is there
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, double entry bookkeeping
- Experienced with UltraTax and QuickBooks Online software platforms a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines consistently
