Standing in front of a crowd and delivering a message is not an easy task because great trainers are expected to engage the audience to have a positive impact.

Sometimes they experience the unexpected for instance technical hitches and they have to use their backup to deliver successful training.

2. A Trainer Is Not An Expert In Everything

I once posed a question that the trainer didn’t expect and he asked the audience about their opinions about my question. In the process, he was gathering his taught to respond to the impromptu question.

Great trainers never claim to have the answers to all the questions but they welcome all the queries with a promise to respond best of their ability.

For the boring training that I attended, it was evident that the trainer was not equipped with effective training skills, and the message was not tailored to fit our needs.

4. A Trainer Is An Easy Target

The trainers are judged based on their outcomes and therefore they try to succeed for a good reason.  When things don’t go well in the workplace, the management is likely to blame the inadequate training or poor training hence they try to ensure that they up their game.

5. A Trainer Has A Favourite

This may sound funny but it is not intentional. In a crowd, some audiences will click better than others. For the participants that look lively by engaging, the trainer is likely to feed off that energy and will view the engaged participants in a positive light than those who are boring and seem disinterested.
