Job Description

Voter Registration Assistant (VRA) is primarily responsible for supervising Voter Registration Clerks, ensuring the security of biometric equipment (BVR kits/KIEMS tablets), and ensuring that registration targets are met within the assigned ward.

  • Supervising Voter registration clerks at the ward
  • Assisting in planning the KIEMs kit movement schedule
  • Collating and submitting voter registration data
  • Ensuring the security of materials and equipment
  • Reporting Voter registration progress
  • Publicizing registration activities and ensuring the ward meets registration targets.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen and a registered voter.
  • At least 21 years old, and residents of the constituency/ward they are applying for.
  • A minimum of a Diploma in ICT or a related field is required.
  • Availability for the entire registration period.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Kiswahili; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated integrity, impartiality, and respect for diversity.
  • Willingness to work long hours and under field conditions.

Important Note

  • Applicants must not have held office or stood for election as a candidate or party agent in the last five (5) years.
  • Successful candidates will be required to present;
    • Copy National Identification Card
    • Copies of academic certificates
    • Copy(ies) of any other relevant testimonials
  • Successful applicants will be required to undergo training and take an oath of secrecy.
