Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping Operations
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to established hotel standards and procedures.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish room amenities and supplies.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas.
- Ensure all rooms are inspected and ready for guest occupancy within designated timelines.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or lost and found items to the relevant department promptly.
Hygiene and Safety Compliance
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation at all times.
- Follow health, safety, and housekeeping protocols and procedures.
- Properly handle cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Guest Service
- Respond courteously and promptly to guest requests related to housekeeping services.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with guests.
- Support efforts to provide a comfortable and pleasant guest experience.
Inventory and Supplies Management
- Monitor housekeeping supplies and report replenishment needs.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
- Assist in stock control and inventory management of housekeeping materials.
General Duties
- Assist with cleaning public areas when required.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support smooth hotel operations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in housekeeping, room stewardship, or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Certificate in Housekeeping, Hospitality, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Experience working in hotels, lodges, camps, or hospitality establishments is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to maintain high hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform housekeeping duties for extended periods
