Commis Chef Job CJs’ Restaurants
Looking for a hospitality job in Kenya? CJ’s Restaurants is hiring a commis chef to assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene, and support daily kitchen operations. The role is based in Nairobi and relevant culinary training or kitchen experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prep Hero: Station stocking, chopping, butchering and sauce prep.
- Service Sync: Cooking in coordination for simultaneous, high-quality output.
- Safety Guardian: Daily HACCP compliance and strict sanitation control.
- Kitchen Discipline: Inventory management, station cleanup and professional teamwork.
Qualifications
- Fresh culinary graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Added Advantage: 1 year of fine- dining chef experience.
- Culinary school degree/diploma. Eager to learn and ready to put in the work.
- Strong foundational culinary skills. Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control.
- Expert multitasking ability.
- Exemplary work ethic in a high-pressure environment.
- Passion and pride for delighting people with food.
