Responsibilities

• Collecting health related data at household level for analysis; 
• Maintaining and updating Community Health Unit register and keeping records/registers; 
• Identifying common ailments and minor injuries at community level; 
• Visiting homes to determine the health situation and dialogue with household members; 
• Monitoring growth of children under the age of five years; 
• Identifying defaulter of health interventions and referring them to appropriate health facilities; Managing Community health resource centre; and 
• Convening and coordinating monthly community units and action days. 

Requirements

For appointments to this grade a candidate must have: – 

• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Community Health Nursing, Community oral health, Psychology, Nutrition, Environmental Health, Counselling, Social Work and Community Development, Health Promotion and Education from a recognized institution; and 
• Proficiency in computer applications.
