Role Profile

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order processing, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role involves supervising warehouse staff, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management:

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor warehouse processes to maintain efficiency and reduce downtimes and industry standards.

Inventory Control:

• Oversee inventory levels and perform regular stock counts to ensure accuracy.
• Implement procedures for stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and minimize inventory discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the procurement and inventory teams to address stock issues

Team Supervision

• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and engagement.
• Monitor team productivity and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
• Allocate tasks to maintain smooth operations.

Safety and Compliance

• Enforce health and safety policies and ensure compliance with the safety guidelines
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential safety hazards.
• Train staff on proper handling of equipment and materials.

Equipment and Facility Maintenance:

• Oversee the maintenance and efficient use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and well-maintained.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including shipments, receipts, and inventory.
• Generate reports on warehouse performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or business management or any related course.
