Company Description
The University of Eldoret, located about nine kilometers from Eldoret town in Uasin Gishu County, was established in 1946. It has grown from offering training for large-scale farmers to becoming a prominent Science, Agriculture, and Technology institution. The university now consists of 9 schools with 34 academic departments, hosting over 14,000 students and more than 1,300 teaching and non-teaching staff. Spread over 1,054 acres, the university also operates nursery, primary, and secondary schools.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Eldoret for a University Chaplain. The University Chaplain will be responsible for providing spiritual guidance and support to students and staff, organizing religious services, facilitating interfaith dialogue, and offering counseling services. The Chaplain will also work closely with other university departments to support the well-being and development of the university community.
Qualifications
- Strong spiritual and religious knowledge and experience
- Excellent counseling, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in organizing and conducting religious services and events
- Ability to facilitate interfaith dialogue and promote inclusivity
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant experience in educational or community settings
- Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, Religious Studies, or related field

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All the positions are permanent and pensionable positions except the position of Farm Manager. Remuneration will be as per the current University policies and regulations.
