Westlands Specialist Hospital is seeking an experienced Theatre Technician to join our surgical team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a busy operating theatre
- Proven ability to support a wide range of surgical procedures
- Strong knowledge of theatre equipment handling, sterilization, and infection control protocols
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-demand environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Relevant certification in Theatre Technology or a related field
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain operating theatre equipment and instruments
- Ensure proper sterilization and adherence to infection prevention standards
- Assist surgeons, nurses, and anaesthetists during procedures
- Monitor and restock theatre supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the theatre at all times
