Support Staff Supervisor at Kirinyaga CPSB. Responsible for supporting county government operations, implementing departmental programmes, and ensuring efficient service delivery to the public. Requires a relevant qualification, practical experience, and strong communication skills. The role is based at Kirinyaga with duties performed on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising support staff including cleaners, laundry operators, cooks, mortuary attendants, groundsmen, waste handlers and casual workers within the facility;
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in wards, theatres, clinics, kitchens, laundry and hospital compound
• Managing and supervising hospital laundry, cleaning, waste segregation, collection and disposal in accordance with NEMA and public health regulations;
• Ensuring proper use, custody and accountability of cleaning materials, detergents, linen, kitchen utensils and other support equipment;
• Preparing and submitting monthly reports on support services and staff performance Ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act and reporting any hazards or maintenance needs;
• Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:

• Be a Kenyan Citizen;
• Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade C- or its equivalent;
• Certificate in public Administration, Management or its equivalent;
• Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya.
