  • Review operating schedule daily to ensure proper waste paper usage.
  • Assure the correct type of waste paper is staged in the staging area
  • Know and understand the different types of waste paper used in the tissue making process.
  • Assure optimum Operation of the Deinking plant by the DCS.
  • Review all equipment in the plant daily, noting any problems in the production log. Serious noted problems should be immediately brought to the attention of shift supervisor.
  • Assure the correct chemical dosing in pulper and bleaching stage. 
  • Monitor performance of all equipment in Deinking Plant; Pulper, High, Medium and Low-Density Cleaners, Screens, Flotation unit, washer, Disperger, Pumps, etc.
  • Make necessary corrections to the process and equipment operational conditions to achieve desired production target and quality specifications. Note any changes in the production log and control chart. 
  • Maintain housekeeping in the Deinking Plant area.
  • Accurately and completely fill out the Deinking plant center-line.
  • Accurately and completely fill out the equipment parameter reports. 
  • Write work orders in the maintenance Log Book when necessary. 
  • Fill out the production logbook
  • Review the performance of the washer and sludge Press fabrics. 
  • Record any noted defects in the fabrics.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
  • Chemical engineering degree and minimum 3 years experience in the paper industry.
