Logistics Jobs, Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK) Jobs. Shipping and Maritime Officer implements maritime policies, monitors shipping operations, oversees safety, and inspects vessels, requires a Maritime Studies or Marine Engineering Degree and 3+ years experience.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors degree in any of the following fields:-Maritime and Shipping Management, Maritime Management, Coastal and Marine Management, Port Management, Economics, Logistics and Fleet Management from a university recognized in Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:

• collecting and collating data on shipping and maritime affairs;
• drafting briefs and reports on shipping and maritime matters;
• preparing preliminary working documents for sensitization of stakeholders on safety, security, and prevention of marine environment by ships and other watercraft.
