Professional Requirement
- Must possess Bachelor Degree in Instructional Design/ Education Technology/ or related field from a recognized institution.
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as an Instructional Designer, Learning Designer, or Course Developer, preferably within a higher education setting.
- Must have good knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Blackboard) and e-learning authoring tools.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, structure, and review online learning courses to ensure pedagogical soundness.
- Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), media developers, and other team members to design, develop, and review online course content.
- Apply effective instructional delivery methods, modern and intuitive UI/UX design practices, and provide comprehensive faculty support throughout the instructional design process.
- Develop templates and guidelines to standardize course layouts across the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for faculty on best practices in online course development and delivery.
- Provide support and oversight to instructional design teams across schools, faculties, and institutes
- Continuously improve course designs based on student feedback, emerging technologies, and evolving educational trends.
- Support and participate in quality assurance processes for online programmes.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
Required Qualification
- KCSE
- Bachelor Degree Bachelor Degree in Instructional Design/ Education Technology/ or related field from a recognized institution
