Senior Quality Engineer Job Airtel, Nairobi, Kenya

The Senior Quality Engineer role reports to the Radio, Planning and Optimization Lead. He/she will be responsible for the optimization of 2G/4G/5G mobile services towards delivery of excellent network service that will always enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities

The role holder duties will include but not limited to:

• Share regular network insights with key focus on tool usage i.e. Geolocation and SON
• Deliver network level quality of service (QOS) performance and regulatory targets
• End to end performance monitoring and evaluation, drill down analysis and take appropriate KPI optimization actions to resolve emerging quality issues. 
• Oversee and share insights on new feature trials and impact assessment before massive roll-out
• Proactively track and manage customer complaints as captured on internal customer experience platforms
• Track and review 2G, 4G and 5G capacity to identify existing or potential bottlenecks for appropriate actions to be taken
• Timely and accurate KPI reporting as required 

Qualifications

Qualifications, Competencies and Behaviors required:

• Undergraduate in Electrical, Telecommunication Engineering or related degrees with at least 3 -5 years hands–on experience on 2G, LTE/5G Optimization 
• Working knowledge on Geolocation, SON, Netact, Google earth and Mapinfo.
• Working knowledge or experience in Nokia and/or Ericsson equipment will be an added advantage
• Ability to manage an outsourcing partner to effectively deliver on service level agreements
• A team player with excellent problem-solving skills
• Keen attention to details
• Strong planning, analytical and execution skills 
• Proactive with a can-do attitude.
