Senior Legal Officer Job NGEC
Legal Jobs, NGEC Jobs. Responsible for providing legal advice, drafting and reviewing legal documents, interpreting laws and regulations, investigating complaints related to discrimination and gender inequality, supporting policy development, and engaging with stakeholders on legal matters. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a valid practising certificate, and relevant legal experience. The position is based in Nairobi and requires on-site work.
Key Responsibilities
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Served in the grade of Legal Officer I or in a relevant and comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;
- A Bachelor’s of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution;
- Been admitted as an Advocate of High Court of Kenya;
- Have demonstrable litigation experience of at least Six (6) years in the areas of constitutional, human rights, criminal, family and succession law;
- Attended a Senior Management course in a recognized institution;
- Been a member of a relevant Professional Body;
- Met the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010;
- Computer Skills; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
