Responsibilities:

• Formulating and updating the internal audit strategy, policy guidelines, and annual work plans.
• Evaluating budget execution, financial controls, and corporate governance frameworks.
• Providing risk management evaluations and ensuring institutional statutory compliance.
• Reviewing enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks and quality assurance programs.
• Acting as the main liaison for Auditor General inspections and tracking audit recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Commerce with CPA(K).
• 9 years of total experience, including 3 years as Internal Auditor Scale 12.
• Good standing with ICPAK or the Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya (IIAK).
• Hands-on skills in audit software packages like IDEA or TeamMate.
