We are looking for two Senior Frontend Engineers to join our team in Nairobi. You will be responsible for building modern, responsive, and highly scalable web portals using the latest React ecosystem and cloud-native deployment strategies.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Deep expertise in React using functional components, Hooks, and the Context API.
- Proven experience implementing shared components and contributing to design systems.
- Proficiency with NPM, Babel, and modern build tools like Vite.
- Mastery of Jest and React Testing Library for robust unit and integration testing.
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), JSON, and consuming REST services.
- Strong command of HTML5 and CSS3, with extensive experience building responsive layouts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps) and deploying to containerized environments (Docker/Azure).
- Languages: Fluent English.
Job Description:
- Develop, maintain, and test high-performance frontend web portals, applications, and reusable component libraries using React.
- Collaborate with Team Leads, BAs, and Backend Developers to ensure UI requirements are consistent, coherent, and technically feasible.
- Actively contribute to the organization’s shared component library, ensuring a unified look and feel across all digital products.
- Oversee the deployment of frontend assets to on-prem and cloud-native environments, monitoring performance and resolving production bottlenecks.
- Ensure applications are optimized for maximum speed and scalability across a variety of devices and browsers.
- Participate in peer code reviews and technical discussions to maintain high code standards within the nearshore team.
