Senior Backend Engineer Job

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Own and manage core business logic and system integrations.
- Ensure system performance, security, and reliability across all backend services.
- Review code, enforce engineering standards, and maintain best development practices.
- Mentor and guide junior backend engineers to support their technical growth.
- Support production deployments and troubleshoot incidents when necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new product features and improvements.
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and continuous platform improvements.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2 Years of experience with Laravel/PHP frameworks or similar backend technologies
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of database management (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of system security, authentication, and data protection practices.
- Experience with Docker and cloud-based deployments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Active participation or a strong network within developer or programming communities.
- Experience working in fintech or high-scale systems is an added advantage
- Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments is an advantage
- Personal or open-source projects on platforms such as GitHub is an advantage
