To lead and manage sales and distribution activities across the East Africa market, driving revenue growth, market penetration, and customer satisfaction while ensuring effective execution of the company’s sales strategy.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies and distribution plans across East Africa.
- Manage and grow key customer accounts, distributors, and partners within the region.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure effective execution of trade marketing and promotional activities to drive brand visibility.
- Prepare and present periodic sales performance reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and contractual obligations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including distributors, retailers, and regulatory bodies.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (master’s degree is an added advantage).
Job Skills & knowledge
- Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Strong negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Relevant Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in sales and distribution within the FMCG or related sector.
- Proven experience managing sales across multiple countries/regions.
- Willingness to travel extensively within East Africa
