We are looking for an experienced, energetic, transformative and culturally aligned Retail Store Team Leader to oversee daily operations, drive sales, manage our store team, and maintain our high standards of customer service. This is a hands-on role requiring active involvement in store activities, team performance, stock management and customer service. You will be expected to be actively involved on the shop floor, not just supervise from the sidelines.

The Retail Store Team Leader will be responsible for leading day-to-day retail operations, supervising staff performance, managing inventory and stock counts, streamlining customer service, and driving store targets.

  • Lead, mentor, develop and supervise team to build a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store ,Identify operational gaps and implement practical solutions.
  • Strengthen branch operations by improving sales processes, visual merchandising standards, customer experience, and stock utilization.
  • Supervise daily opening/closing procedures, maintain visual merchandising standards, and enforce store policies and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, reporting standards, and operational controls in the branch
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on sales performance, forecasts, opportunities, and risks to direct reporting lines.
  • Oversee stock management , stock takes and stock movement within the store and work closely with inventory manager
  • Drive revenue growth ( achieve daily, weekly, monthly sales targets), and profitability of the branch
  • Ensure customers receive excellent service at every point of interaction.
  • Write strong reports on store performance
  • Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration,related or experience in retail management
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in retail or FMCG sales, with at least 2 years in a people management or supervisory role.
  • Track Record: Proven ability to lead team teams, hit monthly sales targets, and conduct systematic stock takes.
  • Proven ability to grow sales, manage retail team toward ambitious targets.
  • Experience in crochet or knitting or art is an added advantage
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and convert insights into action.
  • Experience with stock taking, inventory management and stock reconciliation.
  • Strong communication, hands on leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with high professional standards.
  • Transformative mindset , proactive with the ability to challenge the status quo, drive change, and scale performance.
  • Strong report writing and feedback skills
  • Experience handling customer complaints and service escalations.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible retail shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • High level of self-motivation, resilience, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance driven retail environment.
  • Good understanding of retail store operations.
