About the Role
We are seeking skilled and passionate cooks to join our client’s restaurant branches in Nairobi. The ideal candidate is someone with prior experience in a busy restaurant kitchen, ready to deliver quality meals and contribute to a vibrant team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a flair for preparing delicious dishes, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals as per the restaurant’s menu and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and hygienic manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
- Assist with menu planning and suggest improvements where necessary.
- Ensure proper storage of food items and minimize wastage.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a cook in a restaurant (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Excellent hygiene and food safety practices.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Certificate/Diploma in Food Production or related field is an added advantage.
