Registered Clinical Officer II Job Nyamira CPSB

Medical Jobs, Nyamira County Public Service Board Jobs. Responsible for examining, diagnosing and treating patients, providing clinical care, conducting minor procedures, counselling patients, supporting community health activities, making referrals, and maintaining clinical records. Requires a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, registration with the Clinical Officers Council, and a valid practising licence. The position is based in Nyamira and requires on-site work.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution;
• A Certificate of Registration and a valid practicing license from Clinical Officers Council.
• Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution

Key Responsibilities

• Taking history, examining, diagnosing and treating patients‟ common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient health facility.
• Implementing Community Health Care activities in liaison with other healthcare workers.
• Guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff on health issues.
• Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health.
• Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill.
• Collecting and compiling clinical data.
• Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities
