Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Remote Sensing, Geographical Information Science, Geo-Spatial Engineering, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Control and Instrumentation, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and reviewing policies, procedures, and strategies related to quality assurance and control;
  • Maintaining the Agency’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring adherence to ISO standards and international best practices;
  • Conducting quality audits, inspections, surveys, and spot checks on space systems, operators, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards;
  • Monitoring and assessing compliance with technical, operational, and safety standards for space systems across design, manufacturing, testing, deployment, and operations;
  • Documenting the management processes for the certification, renewal, suspension, or withdrawal of licenses and authorizations for space operators and related personnel;
  • Investigating occurrences, incidents, and quality deviations, preparing reports and contributing to corrective and preventive actions;
  • Investigating accidents and incidents involving space systems, ensuring proper documentation and implementation of safety recommendations;
  • Reviewing proposed changes to technical and maintenance documentation, ensuring consistency with KSA’s quality standards;
  • Evaluating recommendations from technical departments, ensuring proposed changes align with quality requirements;
  • Analyzing quality assurance and safety performance data, preparing periodic reports for internal and regulatory purposes;
  • Undertaking the development of risk-based performance indicators related to quality and operational safety;
  • Facilitating technical engagements with contractors, service providers, and international partners, ensuring alignment with KSA’s quality and safety expectations; and
  • Contributing to the promotion of continuous improvement by participating in knowledge management activities, audits, and reviews.
