Duty Station: Migori Field Office
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Contract Duration: 11 months (renewable based on performance and funding)
Level of Effort: 100% (Full-time)

Role Overview

The Mentors will serve as peer trainers and business coaches for young women
participating in Y-WISE. They will facilitate training sessions, offer one-on-one mentorship, and support participants to start and sustain enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy sessions.
  • Provide business coaching and mentorship to assigned mentees.
  • Mobilize participants for training and mentorship sessions.
  • Assist in data collection, beneficiary tracking, and documentation.
  • Support beneficiaries develop viable business plans and conduct site follow up upon business start-up.
  • Support the inclusion of young mothers and women with disabilities
  • Support beneficiaries in developing business plans and accessing seed grants.
  • Participate in monitoring and documentation of success stories.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in ICT, Business, Entrepreneurship, or related field.
  • Experience in youth mentorship, training, or small business management.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Must be a resident or alumni from Migori County institutions (Rongo University, Kakrao TVET, etc.)
