Position Summary
The company is seeking a Procurement Officer to support project logistics and procurement operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing construction materials, negotiating supplier contracts, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies to construction sites. The role requires close collaboration with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Source quality construction materials such as cement, steel, MEP components, and heavy machinery at competitive prices.
- Build, manage, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate inventory and logistics processes from purchase to delivery across multiple sites.
- Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with local construction regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in procurement within the general construction or civil engineering industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPS is an added advantage.
